DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C carries the video signal from a compatible camera or handheld device into the transceiver, the input side of the link before anything reaches a receiver or monitor downstream. 4K/60fps support means the cable itself doesn't bottleneck image quality the transceiver is otherwise capable of transmitting.
