Axis Lock
The RS 4's automatic axis locks facilitate rapid transition to work or sleep mode, enhancing efficiency in shooting, transitioning, and storage processes. The axis locks also feature narrower gaps when engaged, resulting in reduced shaking of the gimbal.
Vertical Shooting
The addition of a new horizontal plate on the DJI RS 4 enables the second generation of native vertical shooting, enhancing usability and speed. To transition from horizontal to vertical shooting, there is no requirement for additional components. Simply detach the horizontal plate and fasten it securely in the vertical orientation. This facilitates the creation of videos in the vertical orientation.

All three axes of the DJI RS 4 have Teflon coatings, which effectively reduce friction and improve balance for more smoothly operating conditions.
By moving the camera forward or backward, the fine-tuning knob on the tilt axis can be used to achieve accurate, millimeter-level balancing when switching cameras or lenses.
To ensure a secure camera mounting, an additional adjustable placement guide is integrated into the upper quick-release plate.
Auto Screen Lock
The OLED touchscreen includes a novel auto-lock function. After being locked, the screen will show the current gimbal and joystick modes with reduced brightness. This feature not only serves to prevent unintended touches but also aids in preserving battery life.
Excellent Payload Capacity
The body is able to support up to 3kg (6.6lbs) of weight and is lightweight. Popular mirrorless camera and lens combinations can be supported by this device, making handling safe, comfortable, and powerful.
The tilt axis of the RS 4 has been extended by 8.5 mm in comparison to the previous version, offering a greater area for balancing. With the help of this feature, you can attach common mirrorless camera and lens combinations along with other accessories like ND filters, which opens up new creative possibilities.
Fourth-generation RS stabilisation algorithm
DJI has made significant improvements to the next-generation RS stabilisation algorithm to accommodate a range of use cases. It strikes the ideal balance between the tactile feel of camera movement and the strength of stabilisation, producing exceptional stabilisation performance and a better overall user experience. Furthermore, the RS 4 offers a significant improvement in stability when shooting vertically, stabilising dynamic shots like running or low-angle views with ease.
Wireless control using Bluetooth technology
Dual-Mode Bluetooth technology is used by the DJI RS 4 to allow remote control of the lens zoom and camera shutter. Zoom control mode allows you to control Power Zoom for PZ lenses and Clear Image Zoom with the joystick, providing a true zooming experience. A camera can be paired once, which makes it easy and automatic for it to reconnect later.
Works Seamlessly With DJI Focus Pro Motor
You can use a joystick to adjust the lens zoom and a dial to control the focus when you pair the DJI RS 4 with the DJI Focus Pro Motor. This smooth operation makes lens manipulation more efficient.
Customisation of the trigger function
When the trigger is pressed and held, the trigger function can be set to work in FPV mode, which allows the gimbal's three axes to follow the direction of the grip's movement. When capturing rotating footage or emulating a point-of-view perspective, this feature is extremely helpful.
Gimbal Mode Switch
You can quickly switch between FPV (First Person View), PTF (Pan Tilt Follow), and PF (Pan Follow) modes by turning on the gimbal mode switch. Depending on what you need to shoot, you can choose between 3D Roll 360 mode and Custom mode in the FPV mode to guarantee the accuracy of the RS 4.
RSA Communication Port
An RSA communication port on the DJI RS 4 allows attachment of third-party control handles, remote-control ring handles, and accessories such as the DJI RS Tethered Control Handle. Depending on your creative needs, switching between different shooting configurations is simple.
A wider range of shooting needs can be satisfied thanks to the DJI RS SDK protocol, which enables individual developers and third-party manufacturers to create features specifically designed for the RS 4.
DJI RS BG70 High-Capacity Battery Grip
The RS 4's battery life can be extended to 29.5 hours by using the BG70 High-Capacity Battery Grip. Additionally, with a maximum power output of 18 W, it can power your camera and accessories via the USB-C port at the bottom.
