DJI Avata 360 Motion Fly More Combo

Fly once, choose your angle later

The Avata 360 captures a full spherical field at 8K, so a single pass gives you every angle rather than the one you committed to in the air. Rotate the horizon, look back at what you flew past, or pull a move you never actually made. The flying and the framing become separate decisions.

Motion control and Goggles N3

This combo pairs the Goggles N3 with the RC Motion 3, which is the immersive setup rather than the conventional one. You look where you want to go and move the controller to fly there, with your view following your head naturally.

That makes it the easier route in if you have never flown FPV. There is no stick coordination to learn, and the aircraft handles the flying while you handle the direction.

One take, endless possibilities

Dual 1/1.1-inch sensors with an f/1.9 aperture capture a complete spherical scene in one flight, at 8K/60fps HDR and 120MP for stills. Reframing happens afterwards in the edit.

That changes how you fly. A complex move no longer has to be nailed on the day, because the camera saw everything regardless of where you were pointing. Rotate the horizon, look back at the scenery behind you, build a dolly zoom or smooth into an Asteroid shot, all from one clip.

The camera also tilts, so you can switch out of 360° into conventional forward-facing FPV when you want a single framed shot rather than a spherical one.

Shots that used to need a second pilot

Spotlight Free locks onto a moving subject and handles the camera while you concentrate on flying. Circle shots, dronies and tracking runs become one-person jobs.

ActiveTrack 360° selects the tracking mode automatically. Standard mode holds a steady distance and altitude relative to the subject, while Cycling mode reacts faster through turns and keeps a subject locked in cluttered environments.

FPV gimbal mode adds the rolling, high-speed look that FPV footage is known for.

Flying safely, day and night

Forward-facing LiDAR drives omnidirectional obstacle sensing in 360° mode, including during dynamic tracking, and it keeps working after dark where vision-only systems stop. If you fly in tight spaces, around trees or after sunset, that is where it earns its place.

The integrated propeller guard is structural rather than an accessory, so the aircraft can contact something without losing a prop.

Transmission, storage and transfer

O4+ delivers 1080p/60fps transmission with strong anti-interference performance, and both dual channels support 1080p/60fps as the main feed alongside a full-colour FHD Vision Assist view.

42GB of internal storage holds roughly 30 minutes of 8K 360° video without a card, so a forgotten microSD does not end the session. Wi-Fi 6 transfers at up to 100MB/s, moving a gigabyte in around ten seconds, with background downloading while you carry on.

Editing runs through DJI Fly with one-tap effects and intelligent tracking.

What you need to fly it in the UK

The rules changed on 1 January 2026 and the thresholds are lower than most people remember.

Registration now starts at 100g rather than 250g. The Avata 360 weighs 455g, so you need both a Flyer ID and an Operator ID from the CAA before you fly. The Flyer ID is free, involves a short online theory test, lasts five years and has a minimum age of 13. The Operator ID costs £12.34 a year, must be renewed annually, has to be displayed on the aircraft, and the holder must be 18 or over.

Which subcategory you can fly in depends on the aircraft's UK class mark, not on weight alone. UK class marks UK0 to UK6 came into force on 1 January 2026, and existing EU C-class marks are treated as equivalent until 31 December 2027. Check the class mark on the aircraft against the CAA's Drone and Model Aircraft Code before your first flight.

Remote ID is now mandatory for UK1, UK2, UK3, UK5 and UK6 class-marked aircraft. You must add your Remote ID and switch the function on before flying.

Two more that catch people out. The aircraft must stay within visual line of sight at all times, which you cannot do wearing goggles, so FPV flying needs a competent observer standing with you watching it throughout. And night flying requires a flashing green light fitted to the aircraft.

If you are unsure where you stand, call us on 01243 859444 and we will talk it through, or look at our A2 CofC training if you want to fly closer to people.

Do I need a licence to fly the Avata 360 in the UK?

You need a Flyer ID and an Operator ID from the CAA before your first flight. Registration starts at 100g under the rules that came into force on 1 January 2026, and the Avata 360 weighs 455g. The Flyer ID is free, involves a short online test and lasts five years, with a minimum age of 13. The Operator ID costs £12.34 a year, must be displayed on the aircraft, and the holder must be 18 or over. Which subcategory you can fly in depends on the aircraft's UK class mark. If you are unsure, call us on 01243 859444.

Do I need Remote ID?

Remote ID became mandatory on 1 January 2026 for UK1, UK2, UK3, UK5 and UK6 class-marked aircraft. You add your Remote ID through the CAA and switch the function on before flying. Check the class mark on your aircraft to confirm whether it applies to you.

Can I fly it on my own while wearing the goggles?

No. UK rules require the aircraft to be kept within visual line of sight throughout the flight, and you cannot do that with goggles on. FPV flying needs a competent observer standing with you, watching the aircraft and able to tell you what it is doing.

Can I fly it at night?

Yes, but a flashing green light must be fitted to the aircraft for night flying in the UK. The forward-facing LiDAR gives you obstacle sensing after dark, but the light is a legal requirement rather than an optional extra.

Can I shoot normal FPV footage, or is it 360° only?

Both. The camera tilts, so you can switch out of 360° into conventional forward-facing FPV when you want a single framed shot rather than a spherical capture. You are not locked into one or the other.

Do I need a microSD card?

Not to get started. 42GB of internal storage holds roughly 30 minutes of 8K 360° video, so a forgotten card does not end the session. We include a Lexar 633x 128GB microSDXC card free with this combo, which is what most people will want for a full day out.

How long does it fly for?

Up to 23 minutes per battery, and three batteries are included in this combo. The two-way charging hub is also included, so you can charge in sequence between flights.
