The DJI Avata 2 pairs a 1/1.3-inch sensor with a 155° ultra-wide field of view, capturing 4K/60fps HDR footage from angles a conventional drone cannot reach. Camera and Field of View
The 1/1.3-inch sensor captures 4K/60fps HDR video, holding detail across both bright sky and shadowed ground in the high-contrast scenes FPV flying tends to produce. Larger sensor area also improves low-light performance over the original Avata.
A 155° ultra-wide field of view is what gives FPV footage its characteristic sense of speed and scale, pulling in far more of the environment than a standard drone camera. Combined with the aircraft's agility, that produces shots which read as fast and immersive even at modest speeds.
Fly Through Gaps Others Cannot
Built-in propeller guards are integral to the airframe rather than a bolt-on accessory. They allow deliberate flight through doorways, under bridges, between trees, and close to surfaces, which is precisely the type of shot that makes FPV footage distinct.

The Avata 2 is a heavier FPV aircraft, not a sub-250g drone, so full registration applies. You will need both a Flyer ID, earned by passing the CAA's free online theory test and valid for five years, and an Operator ID, a low-cost annual registration, before flying outdoors.
